ASHFORD WAR MEMORIAL INSTITUTE

Construction of the building, which involved the demolition of a row of old cottages, was on land given by the Duke of Devonshire, and was opened by him on 28th September 1929. The Roll of Honour is displayed inside, and recently a Roll of Honour for those who served in the World War of 1939-1945 has been added.
Venue for events, meetings, classes and other functions, the Hall is managed by an elected committee, and membership is by voluntary annual subscription and is available for hire by local organisations or private groups or individuals.
